Michael Dove

Mr. Michael Dove has recently retired as Chief of the Management Information Division of the Defense Manpower Data Center in Seaside, California. He received the Distinguished Career award from Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld - the Department's highest Civilian Career Award. He has an MBA in Finance and BA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley. He currently is devoting his volunteer hours to being Director of Training programs for the Big Sur International Marathon and is on the Board of Directors of both the Marathon and Team USA Monterey Bay - an elite running training center at CSUMB. Mr. Dove is a noted local speaker on health, fitness, and running issues, and writes a column on Running in the Monterey Herald. He has been ranked in the top 5 Senior Runners in the United States every year since turning 50, once held the age 49 World record for the 5K, and holds age group course records in several marathons.
