Lee Mercer

Lee Mercer has been the Director of Education and Outreach at Second Harvest Food Bank for four years doing community education and media outreach on hunger and nutrition. He designed and oversaw a 2 year food stamp outreach project under a USDA grant, and is managing a Nutrition and Food Security project under a Nutrition Network grant. He is currently co-chair of the Central Coast Hunger Coalition (which serves as the policy committee for the Go For Health and NFCCC collaboratives) and the California Hunger Action Coalition. Previous to his work with the Food Bank he managed an agency hiring homeless individuals, and for twenty years operated businesses in the private sector involved with film, writing and video communication.
