A Better Burger

Craving a big juicy burger but don’t want all the calories?
- Start with a bag of Mill’s Family Farms Wholeaves; green leaf, red leaf and Romaine lettuce (found in the whole head lettuce section of your grocery store). No need to wash this lettuce since it comes ready to use.
- Set aside 2 to 4 lettuce leaves per burger.
- Take 4 ounces of lean ground turkey meat and add your favorite seasoning. I like to add BBQ sauce and chopped onion.
- Form into patties and grill outdoors or use a grill pan on your indoor range. Cook patties until no pink is showing.
- Place each patty on one or two Mill’s Family Farms Wholeaves and top with all your favorites; tomatoes, pickles, sliced onions and mustard. Top your burger with one to two more lettuce leaves and enjoy!
- I use Mill’s Family Farm’s Wholeaves instead of bread for all my sandwiches.
- One large hamburger bun has 240 calories where two Mills Family Farms Wholeaves has only 15 calories!
