Green Giant Fresh Iceberg Appetizer Recipe

Want a low calorie appetizer that is quick, easy and so delicious?

1 head of Green Giant Fresh Iceberg lettuce
8 cherry tomatoes
8 green stuffed olives
Optional garnishes: Dressing, crumbled blue cheese, bacon bits, Parmesan cheese, etc.

 

  1. Start with one head of Green Giant Fresh Iceberg Lettuce.  This lettuce is high in fiber and low in calories and a good source of vitamin A & C.
  2. Remove any loose outer leaves and rinse under cold water, pat dry and slice off the bottom of the head to create a flat surface.
  3. With sharp knife cut the Green Giant Fresh Iceberg Lettuce into 8 equal wedges.
  4. Place the entire cut head of lettuce in the center of a serving platter and using colorful toothpicks attach your favorite garnishes, I like cherry tomatoes and green olives.
  5. Arrange small bowls of tasty dippers around the Iceberg Lettuce Ball such as dressing, crumbled bacon, blue cheese and grated Parmesan.
  6. One 8-ounce cheese wedge has over 800 calories, where an entire head of Iceberg Appetizer has only 13 calories!
