Green Giant Fresh Iceberg Tostada Recipe

Love Tostada’s but don’t want all the fat in that high calorie tortilla shell?

1 head Green Giant Fresh Iceberg Lettuce
1 cup fat free refried beans
2 cups shredded cabbage
1 cup chopped tomatoes
½ cup chopped green onion
8 tablespoons salsa
4 tablespoons fat free sour cream

Makes 4 Tostadas

  1. Start with one head of Green Giant Iceberg Lettuce. This lettuce is high in fiber and low in calories and cholesterol and a good source of vitamin A & C.
  2. Remove any loose outer leaves and rinse under cold water, pat dry and slice Green Giant Iceberg Lettuce into 4 round discs.
  3. Place each disc on a plate and top each Green Giant lettuce disc with;
     ½ cup of fat free refried beans, ½ cup shredded cabbage,1/4 cup chopped tomatoes, 1/8 cup green onions, 2 tablespoons of salsa and a one-tablespoon of non-fat sour cream.
