OUR HOST: A PASSION FOR HEALTHY FOODS

Introducing our Simply Fresh
Host and Chef –
Adrienne Saldivar-Meier
Growing up in a Hispanic family, Adrienne learned early on the joy of food and cooking. Her natural talent resulted in creating new recipes by age 9 and winning numerous awards in her teens which included the Bank of America and Betty Crocker Home Economics Awards and later in life baking and cooking for many executives in the music, film, television and entertainment industries.
Adrienne was so impressed with this new lifestyle that she began creating new recipes using fresh produce. Her goal was to take popular foods that are not so good for the body and recreate a healthy version using fresh produce. Her recipes are known for REALLY tasting GREAT to kids as well as adults!
Adrienne currently teaches healthy cooking classes in her home, volunteers her time to cook for homeless children at the New Horizon School in Santa Cruz County as well as provides healthy cooking demonstrations and lectures throughout the Central Coast. Her time spent creating simple and fresh recipes for Healthy Eating Lifestyle Principles’ (HELP’s) “Simply Fresh” cooking and recipe segments for television using the beautiful produce of the Central Coast is a dream come true. However her greatest reward is teaching kids that they now have choices about the way they look and feel. Remember, as Adrienne says, “Now you can choose a healthier life.”
