A gathering of 200 Central Coast leaders from government, education, health care, agriculture, athletic events, and nonprofit organizations assembled on January 27, 2005 at California State University Monterey Bay to learn about the nation’s obesity epidemic from 18 experts in these fields and begin to devise a unified strategy to confront this urgent health challenge.
