WELLNESS POLICY TOOLKIT

Working in partnership with the 24 school districts in Monterey County , HELP provided technical assistance in developing district Wellness Policies. The Toolkit was developed to assist the districts with this task and can be viewed through the Wellness Policy Toolkit link. HELP also was instrumental in facilitating several seminars for all districts regarding Policy Writing, Policy Implementation, and Policy Evaluation.

HELP, with a contract from the Monterey County Health Department, continues working with several school districts on healthy fund raisers and healthy classroom parties.

HELP maintains to be a conduit for school districts concerning healthy eating and school meals.

It’s because of this work with district schools that Healthy Eating Lifestyle Principles, Inc. (HELP) received the Congressional Victory Against Hunger Award.
